Monitress Council

Consisting of 3 Monitresses per class elected by their fellow classmates and teachers - Advocacy, Peer Support and Relations, and Management, Monitress Council (MC) aims to equip them with facilitation, event planning & people management skills - all to inspire a shared vision, and turn their classes into families. Their duties include facilitating class discussions for class parties as examples, and assisting in day-to-day activities like the duty roster. They partake in school wide events alongside the other leadership boards, such as Class Noticeboard Decoration or Welcome Week. Monitresses are able to strengthen class unity and instill in all Cedarians a deep sense of belonging to their classes and the school community. Monitress Council aims to foster an inclusive environment for all classes across all levels in Cedar, through serving as a platform in addressing issues related to classes or the school.
